Hi all,
below you will find a project of Weekend VHF/UHF Radio audio transceiver with an ARM7 MCU driving DRA818U. Read more if interested...
The Weekend VHF/UHF Radio audio transceiver has become a popular Open source project based on AVR MCU. My colleague Bojan Naglic (S53DZ) wrote a program where ARM7 LPC-2138 MCU is driving DRA818 module.
Main features of Bojan's SW are:
- ARM NXP LPC2138,
- Dorji DRA818U,
- LCD 2x16,- one input on ARM is used to sense if channel is occupied while scanning frequency,
With encoder user can:
- left-right: change freq. with currently set step. Movement is possible within U or RU channels. When selecting RU channels an automatic freq. shift of 7,600 kHz shift is turned on. U or RU channel numbers are also displayed on LCD,
- short press on encoder switch selects dec. point which is shown with a help of a curson on LCD. Next short press will return menu to freq. select with new step set. Possible are steps: 12,5, 25, 100, 1000, 10000 kHz.
- long press on encoder switch innitiates freq. scanning. Scanning can be termininated with a short press to encoder switch. An occupied channel also stops freq. scanning.

This SW is an Open source SW and is freely available for dowload in our Download section.
